What do you do when…

Life gets super busy…

Things are not as you imagined they would be…

You followed the directions explicitly, but still wound up on an unexpected road…

The “to do” list gets too long to fit into your planner…

A “day off” from work means that you will still work…only at home…

Your scheduled creative time is not respected as I’can’t-hear-you-la-la-la-handle-it-yourself time…

Your mate describes you as a “lethargic scrapbooker” because all you want to do is relax and possibly create when you finally have three and a half seconds of free time…

You feel guilty when you TAKE the three and a half seconds and ignore both the mate and the offspring to zone out…

You don’t want to leave a list of things to do because you are tired of being the list keeper…(a job you would have whether you were the stay at home person or the working person because you have it because no one else apparently has any idea of what has to happen to make things run smoothly…or doesn’t have eyes…or doesn’t care…)

The pile of clean laundry awaiting folding threatens to avalanche anyone in close proximity…

The guy in charge of the yard doesn’t do the yard because he thinks you should help with the yard…while holding the baby…and cooking dinner…and making a living…and washing the car…and managing the shopping…and leaving the to do list…oh…and folding the huge pile of laundry…

Some how I didn’t imagine “having it all” really meant “having it all on your plate as your responsibility.”

Sigh…

How does anyone ever manage to get their head around having a SECOND child under these conditions???

Its insanity…

I know I can’t be alone in this…

Sometimes I CAN’T SEE the positive side of it…because I’m too darn worn out to even think of it…

And Jesus is probably rolling his eyes at my pathetic little pity party right now because I get to go home to a beautiful house and a beautiful healthy son and a loving (but sometimes aggravating) spouse…He’s thinking, “What a little turkey she is…down there whining and complaining.”

And all I have to say to that today is a completely rebellious “Yes…I AM whining…

And no, I’m NOT ashamed to be whining…”

Don’t I just stink? It feels downright dirty to be human sometimes…

I heard a preacher say this morning, “Its not the situation that’s educational. Its how you handle it.” This is how we know a mature Christian…and today I’m decidedly immature.

And I’ve decided once and for all the solution to all my problems…

I need a wife… :-)
Peace, everyone…

I like the wife idea, but if you figure out something more, ummm... legal, let me know. I'm in.

And hang in there. It gets much easier when little ones are bigger ones and can play on their own, walk on their own, make messes on their own, put peanut butter sandwiches in the DVD player on their own.

Well, mabye not so much better, but a little less hands on :)

"I need a wife"...LOL!! Me too. Love that. I've realized that you really do just have to let so much more go than you ever dreamed. A little a day is my mantra. One load a day. One ironed shirt a day. One space organized a day. Oh and flylady.net. You're in the trickiest time right now. It does get easier trust me. But as you're learning, that sweet precious baby is gone overnight. Hold tight to him. I'm thinking of you Felicia.

my tips? Make hubby his own list :)

A laundry room with a door helps keep things sane too!

Sometimes you just have to let things go and be undone and messy.

MISS YOU!
